In Rwanda, dance is one of the most enjoyed energetic leisure sport or activity that is extremely popular across all age groups. Dance is at the center of every Rwandan family or community. It’s part of the core values of Rwandan culture and remains as one of the most heritage activities that Rwandans are proud of to actively learn, enjoy and teach all generations. We simply love to Move Groove & Move- (DANCE).

About the Dance Categories:

“The Traditional Cultural Dance” embodies the traditional Rwandan dances and formations.

“The Urban & Modern Dance Category”. It comprises of a range of Ballroom dances like (Kizomba, Rumba, Chacha, Latino, Lambada, Ballet), to Break-Dance, B Boy, Afrobeat (Kwaito, Kalypso), Dancehall and more.

“The Contemporary Creative Dance Category”. This is a fusion of African Traditional dances with Modern & Urban Styles (Mostly Story Telling & Thematic ).

WHERE WILL THE AUDITIONS TAKE PLACE?

The Competition will hold Auditions happening country wide, in all the 5 Major Provinces of Rwanda (Kigali | Northern,Eastern, Northern & Southern). So stay tuned we are coming soon near you.

Note that you should register for audition where you are currently based located (Province) so you can access the auditions easily and avoid long travels.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Note that participants should be 18years and Above male or  female, professionals or amateurs are all welcome.

You can register as a Solo Act, Duo, Trio or Group.

HOW TO REGISTER?

Through this same portal one will be able to register for auditioning by sending their short videos to the auditioning committee (Online) on this very website.
